What is the best bedding for dog kennels being shipped on airlines?

I have two dogs that my husband and I will be relocating from California to Ohio in June. Trying to find the best type of bedding for their kennels for the plane trip. They both shred puppy pee pads so I am hesitant to put those in with them. Anyone have any recommendations from experience? We have a female 30lb husky and a 16lb dachshund mix. Thanks!

Answer:
A piece of fleece would be best; they don't like to shred it for some reason. See if you can't get a flight that changes planes midway so they have a chance to get out during the trip. And see if you can get peanut buttered Kongs on board so they'll be busy. Good luck!
